History of Magic (1st-3rd Years)

Ewan had returned to Hogwarts, after the bright lights of fame drew him into pursing another world tour to promote his new book. Sadly he had to cut his trip short as for he couldn't get the audiences he was expecting. But in typical Ewan fashion, not even this damaged his already over inflated ego.

Ewan leaned against his desk, striking a model like pose while he waited for his students to arrive. He knew they would be over joyed to see he had returned sooner than expected.

Natasha made her way down the hall towards the History of Magic class room. It was the first time she was taking the class, and she was feeling rather excited and curious as to what she would learn in the class. She walked into the classroom, and took a seat "Good morning, Professor," she greeted warmly as she readied her books for the lesson.

Ewan looked at the Ravenclaw girl who entered, he smiled and greeted her back after waiting a few minutes it seemed that this was going to be all that would be joining the class. Ewan then leaped back from the desk

"Right then welcome, if you don't know im Professor McNair, and yes that is the notable Ewan McNair author of five of the best selling books on Magical History" Ewan paused with a beaming smiling expecting the girl to go crazy and ask for his picture or autograph

"So today we will be learning about the Werewolf Code of Conduct, firstly why do you think this document was created, whats the importance of it?" the man asked

Violet was slightly late for History of Magic, but she didn't particularly care much about it. She only took it to bump up her marks and to ensure she got good results. She sauntered in when the Professor, whom she remembered from her first year, asked about the Werewolf Code of Conduct "Pretty much a failed attempt of the Ministry to try and control werewolf transformations. Through taking out protective measures to protect the people" she dropped her bag to the floor and sat down in her seat, deciding to rest her feet atop the desk lazily.

Kedzie knew that being late didn't look good for her record but she couldn't help it, her pet needed a vet, but she knew it was no excuse. She entered the classroom and was upset the class already started but she wasn't surprised that it had, she knew it would. "I am so sorry Professor McNair, I will make sure that it doesn't happen in the future again" Kedzie promised. She would do her best to make sure she kept that promise.

Ewan saw a young Hufflepuff girl walk into the class, he remembered her, he often though of her as a Slytherin in Hufflepuff clothing. Despite what he thought of the girl she answered his question and he nodded "Yes thats correct Miss Lynch isn't it?, take five points to Hufflpuff" Ewan then cleared his throat and took a striking pose as though he was posing for a photo for a book cover

"However it can be argued that while no werewolves did sign it, many werewolves do use the rules as a guideline for their responsibilities, even if unofficially. So perhaps not a total disaster" Ewan said, just as he had finished he noticed another student enter, she apologised for her lateness ensuring it wouldn't happen again

"Not to worry young lassi, you can now have the great honour of answering my next question. What were one of the rules in the Werewolf Code of Conduct?" he asked

Kedzie was a little stunned that that was being learned in class today but she had read something about that once and was now trying to remember, she racked her brain for that and finally remembered what it was that her Professor was looking for. "One of the rules was that in order to prevent killings or attacks, the werewolves had to lock themselves up every month" Kedzie answered her Professor's question.

"History of Magic.. History of Magic.. His- Oh. I think this is the one.", Elysia mumbled softly, echoing her thoughts as she reached for the door knob, turned and opened it, poking her head in to see if she had it correct.

No. Empty classroom.

With a long sigh, she closed the door once more, glaring at it before turning heel and marching onwards. "Bloody castle.. Too many rooms.. Need a map..", she mumbled to herself, glaring at the ground she walked on.

She soon came across another door, one which she could hear muffled voices from. Raising her fist, she rapped at the door gently before grasping the knob and turning it open, peeking her head in, biting down her lip.

"Is this the History of Magic classroom?", the young girl asked, a bit distraught and just one step to giving up as she looked at the people inside, blue eyes clouded with grief and embarassment. Navigating through Hogwarts was no easy task. Why couldn't they provide a map?
