Katherine wanted to go over a charm basically everyone knew and that was Stupefy. Not everyone could get the spell down but she was going to at least give those students a try. The blonde needed everyone to be caught up to date and the only way for that was for her to teach them. She walked into the classroom and debated whether or not she wanted to magically stock up the chairs and place them on the side or just keep them there. She shrugged and decided they'd go in the corner so with a flick of her wand the desks and chairs were magically placed in the corner. Once again her students were standing.

The brunette loved every class that Salem had to offer, all the Professors knew what they were doing and that was a good thing for her. Diem walked into Charms and was a little stunned to see there was no chairs or desks but they were in the corner. Diem walked until she was closer to the Professor. "Hello" she greeted kindly. Diem was always taught to respect her elders.

Victoria was once again skipping, the habit since she'd been able to walk was not going away, but it didn't need to. It was keeping the young witch's body nicely toned so that she didn't have to do any other exercise unless she felt like dancing, and of course Quidditch. But more importantly it brought a smile to everyone's lips as she passed, greeting everyone with a wave or a soft hello.

As the witch entered the Charms classroom, she noted she wasn't the first one there, and that the table and chairs were gone. "Hello, professor. Hi Diem!" Victoria greeted the other two witches in the room, moving towards the front to stand with Diem. They hadn't spoken much, but Diem seemed like a nice girl.

Aphrodite was prepared to take on this class whether she liked to or not. Which was always a like because Aphrodite loved every subject this school had to offer, they were all amazing and she loved being at Salem. Aphrodite was a little shocked that when she walked in there were other students there but she broke out of it quickly. The blonde girl smiled brightly at her fellow classmates and Professor. "Hi Professor Harrisson, Victoria, and Diem" Aphrodite greeted politely to them.

Charms was one class that Callum felt completely neutral about. It wasn't particularly challenging, nor was it utterly easy, Callum could get his head around the concepts and the casting and the charms, even if it took him a couple of times to actually nail it. He walked into the classroom, and took his seat quietly, ready for the class to start.

Charms was not his best subject, Jackson reflected, setting down his bag and taking his place at the back of the class. No chairs meant he could lean against a wall and look cool without letting on that he was trying his best to keep his eyes open. But unless some very pretty women started getting naked very soon, the boy was likely going to fall asleep.

The urge to reach for his flask was almost too much but somehow, the raven haired boy ignored it. No, he was not going to let her be right.

Because she wasn't.

Katherine know who else was going to show up for her class for right now it looked like a good enough amount to begin her class. She knew that the students would get tired if she kept them standing and she felt bad for that but could do nothing about it. "Hello students and welcome back to Charms. Now for today's lesson its basically a run through to make sure everyone here knows what they're doing. So who can tell me about the Charm Stupefy?"

Watching others enter the room, Victoria gave each of them a small wave. One of her classmates caught her attention though, Jax. He didn't look too good this morning, and a pang of worry touched the witch. She'd thought about moving next to him, but in the next moment the class had started and the Wormwood was forced to look to the professor out of politeness.

When she heard they were doing Stupefy, Victoria wondered why they would be covering such a basic spell. But, the witch decided to just go with it. "Stupefy is a stunning spell, used to render the target unconscious." Victoria supplied, a smile in place despite wondering why this was relevant. "The incantation is Stupefy, as you stated and the wand movement is a straight, vertical line. It can also stop objects from moving."

The explanation was simple enough, and Victoria remained intrigued as to how the professor was going to use this spell today.

The question rang loudly in Jackson's ear though he was sure Miss Katherine hadn't said it loudly. Trying to ignore the blinding affects of light and sound, the boy gritted his teeth as he heard another higher and more annoying voice chirp in with the first answer.

Not to be outdone by that voice - was the princess motivating him, no, that thought gave him a headache. Most thoughts gave him a headache these days -Jackson raised his own hand to respond.

"Spell masters suggest that Stupefy itself isn't as harmful as the consequences of it happening under unfavourable circumstances. The killing curse kills for example, no matter where you are but like, Stupefy could knock you over on a feather bed or off a tower, it'll still be a legal spell to use and you won't get in trouble."

The boy had read some ancient law dispute where a bunch of guys got off after murdering a girl just because they had used the stunning spell, claiming it wasn't their fault she had fell the wrong way and smashed her head open on a glass cabinet.

Janique was running late, but she honestly didn't care. Classes were fun, yes, especially charms, but she was not one to care about grades. Entering the classroom, she smiled at the desk and chair free place, knowing that it meant a practical lesson. However, upon hearing the answered from some of her classmates, it was plainly evident that the lesson was going to be on a simple, first year spell, and she frowned.

Sliding next to Jax - who she had already identified as her next target - she slid the bag off her shoulder and smiled at him. "What did I miss?" she whispered to him.

Katherine listened as both Victoria and Jackson both got their answers correct, she was used to more then one answer so she wasn't surprised by this. "Correct, ten points each" Katherine awarded, she watched as another Nightshade walked in. "Thank you for joining us Janique, we're do a rerun of Stupefy. So I would like two volunteers to come up here and demonstrate, you will not be performing on each other but an object. So who would like to come up here?" Katherine asked.

"So who would like to come up here?"

When she received the points Victoria was happy, but at the chance to have a go, Victoria raised her hand before getting up and moving to the front of the class. "Please can I have a go?" Victoria asked sweetly, not really giving the teacher a choice.

Diem heard Professor Zanderson begin her class and then asked for two volunteers, Diem was about to raise her hand to be the one volunteer when Victoria beat her to it, Diem had to admire the girl for always being enthusiastic about classes. "I'll also volunteer" Diem stood up and joined the Wormwood up at the front. Diem was prepared for this.

Katherine watched as both Victoria and Diem both volunteered for her assignment. "Great, both of you will be using stupefy on these" Katherine conjured up two dummies for the girls. "Don't worry if you don't get it your first try, just keep trying. You may begin girls" Katherine moved out of the way for the two girls could focus on the task at hand and not accidentally hit Katherine.

The instructions were clear and Victoria smiled at the professor before taking out her wand. She was nervous, but for once the witch was not going to let that get the best of her. The scene in dueling had been enough for the witch to realise that she needed to realise all these spells might one day be necessary.

If only in a manner of self defense.

Focusing on her target, Victoria concentrated on what she wanted to happen. Flourishing her wand, the witch spoke clearly. "Stupefy." She spoke clearly, watching the spell hurtle towards the dummy with the desired effect. The witch paused momentarily, taking in what she'd done, faltering slightly with the outcome. Looking towards the professor, Victoria gave a weak smile before hurrying back to her seat.

Taking a moment, the witch sat looking at her hands, breathing steadily as her internal monologue raged at what she'd done. Victoria made no further movement, her eyed closed to the world and trying to collect herself.

Diem watched as Professor Zanderson conjured up dummies for the two girls and then watched as Victoria did the spell. The brunette raised her wand and took a deep breath before she did her spell. "Stupefy" Diem watched her magic shoot out of her wand and hit the dummy. She went back to where she was previously at before.

Katherine watched as both Victoria and Diem both did the spell correctly. It was amazing to see such students actually paying attention to what she was teaching them. "Very good girls, now since you both succeeded in doing the spell correctly you can just sit back and watch. Now for the rest of you, I would like you to please step in front of a dummy that is available and hasn't been used yet and do exactly what both Diem and Victoria did. Please begin" Katherine instructed.

Aphrodite watched closely as Diem and Victoria did their spell correctly. It was pretty amazing how the two had gotten it on the first try but then again this was a refresher so it wasn't that surprising. When Professor Zanderson said for the others to give it a try Aphrodite stepped in front of a dummy and pointed her wand at it. "Stupefy."

Jackson watched as once again, Diem volunteered herself for a demonstration. She was always a more people's person, he reflected even as his insides cringed at the memory. Thankfully the professor was not one for dragging things out and when the demonstration was done, he was even more glad that they would be doing it on dummies instead of finding partners and dealing with that hassle.

Moving to the side, Jackson chose the dummy in the corner, making sure it had enough room behind it to fall with a nice thwack once the spell hit it. Aiming his wand, the boy managed a blurry "stupefy" which hit its mark regardless, the red light barely flashing the short distance between boy and dummy.

The dummy went down with a resounding thwack against the hard floor, cheering the raven haired male ever so slightly.

Katherine watched as Diem and Victoria stepped down from their posts in front of the dummies and only two other students stepped up to the plate. Aphrodite and Jackson. They both succeeded in doing what she asked and she had to admit they both knew what they were doing. Katherine looked at the time on the clock and saw that it was time for the kids to dismiss. "Good work for today, I'm afraid that is it for the time being, I will see you all next time. Bye guys" she dismissed them.
