| Today's class will be in the form of a maze, as you may have already guessed. The objective is to reach the middle past four different obstacles. Each obstacle will be given once you complete the one before, and the team will only be able to move on through a team effort.
It should be noted that this lesson will not be marked based on perfection of characters, but marked solely on development and realism of the writing.
Every team member will be given up to FORTY points for participation (you will be marked separately so work hard!), being TEN points maximum for each stage.
You are welcome to explore characterisation throughout, and PM each other or myself with questions and ideas you may have.
If, at any point, you are having difficulties with the task, you need only point your wand to the sky and shoot sparks and you will be removed from the task.
Good luck!
Your first task: Get through the attacking bush into the clearing beyond. It will try to bind you, and stop you from getting through. What the bush is, is down to personal preference, and how you defeat it is up to your group. |

| Carmen did walk to the people who were in her group. She really wasn't interested about doing maze today. Since she had came here already and she couldn't let her team/group members down. She sighed and looked at that first task. She have never been really good in herbology or anything like that so she had no idea what bush it was.
She looked at other two team members. "Does any of you have any ideas how we could get through it?" She asked then from them with a weak smile. She wasn't happy and she couldn't then show that she was happy. She sighed one more time.

| Once the task was set, Cassidy made her way over to her group, seeing that the first thing to do was to get past some plant that attacks you. She expected for the tasks to get harder as they progressed.
"Does any of you have any ideas how we could get through it?"
Cassidy thought abut it for a moment "Well… we could do a cutting charm, I think it's 'Diffin-' something. We can maybe cut it at the bottom, which will kill it," she suggested with a shrug.

| Following the other two members she had been assigned with, one whom she knew from her house, she listened as they discussed the task, nodding along and briefly wondering how they knew what it was. At least, until she looked around and saw a few other groups who had gone ahead of them get stopped by some kind of plant - different ones at different entry points, it seemed - and almost kicked herself for not noticing it earlier.
Nodding at the other Gryffindor - Cassidy, if she remembered correctly - she offered, "Diffindo. I think that might work, but we need to see what kind of plant we're dealing with. No point in that spell if another would do a better job."
Moving in front of them, she approached an opening in the maze and, bending down to take a twig with her left hand, she gripped her wand tightly in her right and approached the path. Throwing the stick out in front of her, she watched as a tangle of vines grabbed at it and smiled at once. "Guys," she called back to the other two, "It's just devil's snare! Lumos should work just fine, you both know how to cast that, right? It's a relatively easy charm."
Muttering softly under her breath, she waited for her wand to let out the bright white glow that would be her means of safety, and stepped into the path without further hesitation, using the light to guide her feet. Once clear of the vines, she turned, wand still lit, and smiled encouragingly at the other two witches, still keeping the light on, just in case. |
