Potions Lesson 2: Years (1-5)

December came with a very strong winds; the dungeons was colder than usual and he himself was affected by it. Having a warmer coat around himself he knew that by this time the lake would have begun to freeze over at the top.

Mycroft figured that on a winter day why not bring some kind of joy within the classroom. With some exams coming up for certain students, he figured why not have them concoct a potion that would sharpen their minds and help them have some knowledge of a more natural spell.

With a neat writing he wrote clearly on the board Wit-Sharpening Potion and sat down waiting for students to arrive. He knew that a winter day like this many would have cancelled class, but he wasn't the type of man to that.

Beatrice was rubbish at Potions and she was very well aware of that fact. It didn't, however, stop her from attending the class. One of the reasons she still took Potions was, of course, that it was an important subject and it could help her a lot in her future career and all of that boring stuff. The most important reason right now was that the Professor was absolutely gorgeous.

She knew he was married, or engaged, or something, but it did not stop her from adoring the man. He was like a chiseled angel or something. He was strict, though, so Bea tried not to show her infatuation while in class. That meant either Allie, Victorie or Felicia would hear -or read, in Felicia's case- about his beauty afterwards.

The witch couldn't help but grin at the potion they were making that day. Wit-sharpening potion. Just what she needed to pass her exams, with all the beautiful people serving as distractions all around her.

"Good day, Professor. Hey, Victorie!" she greeted the Headmaster and her friend, though she didn't walk towards the girl. Instead, Bea took a seat in the middle of the classroom and pulled her notebook out of her bag.

Natasha was absolutely fascinated with potions, it was one of her strengths. She made her way from the Ravenclaw common room down to the dungeons and into the classroom. She saw that already, two girls had arrived. She moved quietly to an empty seat near the side of the room, nodding quietly to the Professor as a greeting before she got out her things ready for the lesson.

Potions was one of the more interesting subjects to Violet, though she'd never show it. She tended to keep a neutral expression on her face at all times. She walked through the hall from her common room to the classroom and walked into the room to find a few others had arrived before her. She walked directly to her seat, noting the potion they would be completing this lesson on the board and getting her things ready. Once done, she pulled out her potion book and began to read information on the potion, though the name made it quite obvious as to what sort of effect it would produce on the drinker.

It took Newt a while to get to the Potions Classroom. When he finally found it, it looked like he was early, since there was only four students in the room. Newt didn't want to be late for another class, since he had already been late for two. Good thing his parents didn't know about Howlers, because he would have gotten about 5. "Good mowning Pwofessor!", he said as he walked in. He hoped he didn't get laughed at because of his speech impediment. Newt took a seat in the back, and read the board. Wit-Sharpening Potion. It seemed interesting. He took out his Potions textbook, and eagerly waited for the class to begin.

It always amused him at how cheerful students tended to be, it was usually the younger years. Merlin knew that by their sixth year, people slowly became angsty and thought the world was against them, or the whole idea of that they knew everything. This was always the drawback of teaching them, he slowly saw them change. Still, seeing that there was a healthy number in the class, he figured he could start.

"Good afternoon everyone, glad to see that everyone is in a cheery mood. Now today as you can see from the board we will be learning to make the Wit-Sharpening potion. I know that some of you will be dealing with exams and I figured why not teach you how to make a relevant potion. Now let's start with the basics, can anyone tell me not the use, but an ingredient and why it's important in the concoction?"
