Dear Miss Grey,
It is with our sincerest apologies that we wish to inform you that the engagement between yourself and Master J E Murray has been terminated from here in. It is from the recent events that the family cannot foresee a future for you in the household that had once been made available. A Murray can only overlook so many inadequacies, after all.
Should you require anything, please head to Gringott's as a small donation has been made to your name so that you do not feel we have abandoned you completely. We ask that anything bearing the Murray seal to be returned by owl to the Murray residence at your earliest convenience.
We do hope your Father comes to his senses in due course, and remembers how he has tarnished his family's worth for a small bout of amusement.
