Another Saturday and Azalea was once again at Unseen University. This time though, the witch had requested a much more traditional classroom setting complete with tables and chairs. The lecture for today would be a little different than last week and no one would have to get creeped out by a body. On each desk however, Azalea had made sure to place a heavy duty microscope, not unlike the one used in pathology labs across the world.

It was time to get up close and personal with the blood they were studying and Azalea wondered if her students could handle it. They were made of tough stuff, she deduced. And nearly all of them were turning in good homework for the class.

The witch tried not to think of a certain redhead as she took her place at her own desk, having promised herself earlier that she would not let Zara phase her this time. The brunette crossed her ankles in front of her, going through the slides with the blood samples attached as she waited for her students to enter.

Zara's night was long. Her whole week was long, actually; barely sleeping a wink that entire week. She'd wake up after a nightmare, lay in bed for a couple of hours, and finally fall into a restless sleep an hour before her alarm goes off. This morning, she didn't even bother trying to go back to sleep, spending the morning on the internet looking at new brooms. The witch sighed as she brought her third coffee, for the morning, to her lips, staring at the door to her Bloodwork lesson. The warm bitter liquid slid down her throat easily.

Zara was not looking forward to this lesson with, who she deemed her nemesis, Azalea. Though, she had to give the woman props for keeping her cool the way she did, last lesson. She expected the same hothead that she knew long ago. Perhaps she should listen to her inner Alys and give the Herbologist a chance. Zara shook those thoughts from her head as she walked into the room. She must be really tired to be thinking like that. Where would the fun be in that?

She took in the normal looking classroom and the microscopes on the tables as she walked in, noticing that she was the first one there. The red head didn't bother looking at Azalea as she walked to the front, where the witch was, and sat down, right in front of her.

Sadie walked into the classroom. She was shocked that she was early. Last time she was late, and it was because she was with a student. But she smiled as she walked in and took a seat. There was only one other person besides here. So she knew that she was good on time. Sadie then found her seat and was wondering what they was going to be talking about today. Last time it was with a dummy that was bleeding. Which she thought was cool, but she was hoping that in her line of work she would never have to see a student stabbing.

She was glad that Aza was the professor. What was funny was that she had her in school and was now working at the same school she was. Even though she went to Hogwarts to teach. Sadie knew a lot of the professors did duel teaching. But she knew being a healer she had to stay put. Even though she liked to keep in contact with the Hogwarts healer. He wrote about sending a student who might be interested in becoming a healer when she was out of school. And he thought it was best to talk with one who was working on becoming one now.

" Hello Aza!"

The first student in class was the one that had been last for the first lecture. Did that mean Miss Zara Staudt was turning over a new leaf, Azalea wasn't sure. But she supposed everyone deserved the benefit of the doubt.

Even Zara.

Zaley, Zaley, such a failey

"Good morning, Miss Staudt," Azalea greeted the redhead, trying not to think of all the ways in which the young woman had annoyed her as a child. The past was gone, maybe they could salvage the future though?

"And hello to you too, Sadie," the witch grinned, welcoming her old friend into class. "Congratulations for being the first two people in. We'll give the rest of your classmates a chance to get in before we start. Until then, feel free to get a feel of your microscope, adjust it to settings you prefer and whatnot."

David was not exactly thrilled to be coming to class. Not because of lack of interest, but because he would rather be sleeping. He had missed a lot of sleep because of being here at the university. He missed Shiva, having grown accustom to her presence over the summer, the sudden emptiness of someone beside him on his bed made him loose a lot of sleep.

He walked into the class room. He gave a lazy nod to Azalea "Hello Azalea" He said before he took a seat, resting his chin on his hands, waiting for the class to start

Good morning, Miss Staudt," Azalea greeted the redhead, trying not to think of all the ways in which the young woman had annoyed her as a child.

Zara polished off the last of her coffee, almost spitting it out when Azalea had greeted her. After her display, last class, she was shocked at the amount of civility in the young professor's greeting. While it wasn't as warm a greeting as the brunette gave her classmate, she honestly expected (hoped) to me ignored. The woman had said she was a professional. She could do professionally annoying.

Setting the empty styrofoam cup down, making it smack the tabletop loudly, she hid a smirk by faking interest in the microscope in front of her. "Morning, Professor Zaley," she said sweetly, while tinkering with a knob, hoping it would bug Azalea.

"Congratulations for being the first two people in. We'll give the rest of your classmates a chance to get in before we start. Until then, feel free to get a feel of your microscope, adjust it to settings you prefer and whatnot."

The smirk fell from the redhead's face and she stopped what she was doing. Of course she would say that. Sighing, Zara kept her smart 'What did you think I was doing?' comment to her self and returned to adjusting the microscope. She'd wait until the coffee kicked in, to be annoying. Then she would come up with something really good.

Zara turned in her seat when another classmate walked in. Remembering what Azalea had said, last lesson, about disrespecting her peers, she smiled at both of the newcomers. After all, she wasn't entirely rude. Just to those she didn't like. They had just met, she didn't have a reason not to like them. "Hello!"

Every day that clocked past meant that Michael was one day closer to his wedding, and with each day his smile grew all the brighter. The planning sessions, with which he was shortly about to start driving his lecturer's boyfriend up the wall with, had finally started and in all honestly he was more excited than he might care to admit, but the Belladonna inside him knew that passing his university course was important too.

"Good Morning, Azalea," he greeted the former Nightshade as he entered the room, ruffling his hair to try and get rid of the snow that had fallen into the otherwise pristine cut. The layout was different this time, not so much like a library as a laboratory, and Michael loved it just as much. "Good Christmas?" The brunet sat down, a few seats away from his peers and unbuttoned his jacket, hanging it over the back of the chair.

Scarlett had quite a busy schedule now, and University was proving harder than she had thought it would be. She was finding herself consistently tired, so she had slept in today, and had rushed out the door after remembering groggily that she had a Bloodworks lecture.

She paused a moment outside of the class to quickly compose herself, straightening herself up, before she walked through the door "Morning Azalea," she said to the witch, noting the different layout "Hope I'm not too late,"

David looked up as he heard one of the female students, one who obviously knew Azalea, say hello to him. "Hello" He said sleepily. He saw as more people entered, but did not bother to give them much greeting other than a few quick nods. He then immediately laid his head back on the desk

When it seemed as though all her students had arrived, plus or minus one, Azalea addressed the class. Some had started to talk amongst themselves which the brunette didn't mind at all. After all, university life was just as much about getting to know other people as it was about education.

"All right guys, let's begin, any latecomers will be welcomed as they enter," she started, turning to her students and rising from her chair to take her more customary seat on her desk.

"Now, since this lesson is about blood related diseases, its very important to give you a frame of reference so you know the difference between normal, healthy blood cells and those that are deceased," she explained, gesturing to the tiny slides on her own desk.

"Each of you have different slides to put under your microscopes, these slides are rich with different cells. Could someone please locate a healthy red blood cell and show it to the class?"

(OOC: Feel free to post links/images to "show" the cells)

Bloodwork 101 - Lecture 2 - Blood Diseases and Disorders Photos-red-blood-cells

"Each of you have different slides to put under your microscopes, these slides are rich with different cells. Could someone please locate a healthy red blood cell and show it to the class?"

Having a laboratory technician as a father certainly had it's perks, sometimes, even if he hadn't been all there after Zara's mother's death. Before her powers showed up (she was a late bloomer, era grandmother said) and she didn't have a mother to take care of her at home, Zara's dad would take her into work with him. Most days, they would be there for a good twelve hours and the redhead would just end up sleeping in the locker room. But sometimes, her father would remember enough of himself to remember her, and he would show her things in his microscope (the only thing she was allowed to touch). Lucky for her, one of those things were healthy, and dead, blood cells. She remembers her papa's almost smile when she looked at him and said that they looked like bubbles.

Zara flipped through the slides, delicately, remembering how fragile the thin sheets of plastic could be. She was looking for the slide that looked the closest to what she remembered. She found one that was a bright red and slid it under the lens of the microscope, double checking herself. Sure enough, with some small adjusting, she was able to see the tiny red cells, round and blown up like...well bubbles. She smiled to herself and leaned over, sliding her wand out of her boot underneath the table. A small flick of her wrist and a muttered spell later,  a bubble appeared in front of her. It was filled with other, red bubbles, shaped into disks almost and floating in mid air.

"It's the one that looks like bubbles," Zara stated, sliding her wand back in her boot before anyone noticed it. Using a finger, she popped it, causing the oversized blood cell bubbles to float around the room for everyone to see.
