As Jake scanned the class, he could see Tristan giving the spell a shot. The boy set himself in front of the objects, looking relatively confident as he gave it the first shot. It was unsuccessful, but Jake waited a moment, keeping an eye on the boy as he listened to the conversation beside him before getting ready for his second chance. Slowly, Jake moved closer, watching the boy try the spell.

And he got it, quite well, actually.

Though Jake only just had enough time to react, catching the book against his stomach and looking back at the worried Slytherin. "Well done, Tristan!" Jake told the boy, letting out a deep breath as he held up the book. "Quite impressive force!" He added, moving to put the book back at the table. "Have another go if you like."

Kedzie nodded and went towards Violet but made sure not to get too close. She knew that the other girl wasn't very fond of people being too close to her, she had learned that about the Hufflepuff in their brief conversation the year before. Kedzie grabbed her wand and pointed it at the object in front of her. "Carpe Retractum" she said, the object moved but didn't come to her. "Carpe Retractum" it finally came to her, it was a... book? She shrugged.

Stacy listened what others said there now quietly and now when they had yse the spell their own. She wasn't sure how well she will do. She looked at the options what was there and sighed. Girl wasn't sure what to pull towards her. She soon decided to use pillow first. It won't do very much harm she thought at least it. "Carpe Retractum," she said there now quietly and began to pull the pullow now towards her. It didn't come very fast towards her but still when it did hit her it did hurt a little bit. She sighed.

Carmen didn't really listen what professor or any other students said there now at all. She more likely was thinking about her own things, her life wasn't good right now at all. She sighed when she realized that they all had to do something now. She looked and listened what others did. She heard the words 'Carpe Rectractum' or so there and people pulling things closer to themselfes. So she figured that she has do it too. She soon began to say that spell. After tenth time saying it she began to pull plastic flower towards her.

"Umm... good try, Alex... How about you try something smaller first and try to get it to come to you... preferably whole?"

Alexander looked to the professor, his eyes going icy for a moment. He didn't like being told what to do, but what he disliked more was his name being shortened. Especially by people he didn't know. "It's Alexander, sir. I'll give it a go." The Slytherin replied, turning away from the professor without another word and focusing on a different target. His own area was a mess now, what with everything falling over, so choosing something that wasn't being squashed by something else narrowed the boy's choices.

Picking out the lecturing cane, Alexander concentrated on the stick. Doing the whip-like motion with the words, a shot of orange left his wand, coiling around the stick and bringing it back to him quite quickly. The blonde caught it effortlessly, looking rather proud of himself as he turned to see how everyone else was getting on with the assignment.

"Concentration? Okay, Okay. Concentration" the Mexican girl lifted her wand and pointed at a stuffed animal that was somwhat hidden by a cloth and cast the spell utterly focused and the orange 'rope' sprung out, grabbing the object that lifted slowly into the air...with a squeak?

As Allegra had been cleaning herself of feathers and listening to Victoria Lupa had gone 'exploring' and ended up in the pile of things, looking around and Allegra just happened to catch just her. And as she realised what must've happened her eyes went wide as the spell faltered just a seconf before she concentrated harder than she had in the entire lesson, picturing Lupa floating slowly and safely into her arms. Fueled by the concern for her puppy she bit her lip and nearly groaned in relief as Lupa floated slowly into her outstretched arm.

"Lupa, madre de díos, do not go wandering off like that!" She held her close and let her very frazzled chihuahua lick her cheek in relief.

Louise nodded at Jake, but stuck with the ink pot for a little while, putting it back then summoning it to her hand again, catching it in much the same way each time. After the fourth or fifth attempt she put the pot down and selected something else, she wanted something a little larger but still easy to catch. She'd seen some of the girls using pillows but left them for the others to use, instead she used a chair, making sure not to pull her wand back too quickly. She missed catching it the first time but it only landed just short in front of her. She tried again and this time caught the back rest after switching her hold on her wand, holding the stick between her fingers leaving the rest of her hand free to catch the item.

As the class moved on, Jake milled around the class, pointing people in the right direction as and when the opportunity arose. Most of them seemed to be coping very well with the spell, so he was just making sure they were okay. After a short while, Jake checked his clock, and seeing that the time was now up, he clapped his hands only twice to get everyone's attention.

"Okay everyone, well done today! I will be passing your grades on accordingly to those who need it. You've all worked hard enough to earn yourself a week of no homework, so make the most of your time out and enjoy yourselves. Until next lesson, keep safe, and practice if you would like. Though, of course, I don't want to see any harm coming to living things. When you're ready, you may leave." Jake told the class with a warm smile.

Class Closed.
