Dirty Dancing (JARI)

Marilyn and Jake were standing in their dance studio, just warming up when their instructer turned on the music with a smile.
"Hello, Class. Today's going to get a little hot!" she laughed, "Much like the weather!" She then turned on the music, "Alright, we learned some new moves in the tango two weeks ago, now it's time for another. I shall demonstrate then, with music, you will imitate." The woman proceeded to dance with her assistant in a way that made Marilyn breifly wish she had never been born. Oh for the love of Merlin. As if it wasn't hard enough now that she'd had her horrifying moment of realising that she did indeed have feelings for the quidditch star by her side. Now she had to basically have sex on the dancefloor.
Mari watched the steps and turned to face Jake with a complete poker face and held up her hands to the dance position, hoping to some deity that she could make it through the lesson.

It was a few weeks after the attack, Marilyn's arm had been healed and things were turning back to normal for the majority of things in his life. With Marilyn given the clear to dance, Jake had picked her up at the specified time. The witch was decked out in her usual dancing dress, and Jake couldn't help the small smile that had touched his lips when he saw her.

The walk to the class had been comfortable, both of them idly chatting about what they'd done that week, Jake explaining that the final game for him was next week. An agreement was made to get the witch tickets for the game just as they entered the dance class and then they'd been too busy warming up to say much more than that.

"Hello, Class. Today's going to get a little hot!" she laughed, "Much like the weather!"

Jake cocked his head slightly at this information, waiting for the demonstration that... Jake's eyebrow had raised considerably by the time the demonstration had finished, and as they were told to give it ago, bit his lip for a moment. As Marilyn turned around though, Jake's face was devoid of emotion, because Merlin over thinking this was going to be more than dangerous right now.

Slipping his right hand around her back, and the other slipping in to her waiting hand. There was a slight pause in which they waited for the other couples to get ready, and Jake had to remember it was partner, not couples, but he was quite sure they were the only platonic pairing in the room. The first bar, they waited with Jake trying not to over think the fact Mari's cheeks... were very slightly red...

But there wasn't time for Jake to concentrate on that as the steps began and he had to rise to the task of leading. For the most part, it was simple, the witch was more than capable of doing the dance, and his background in dance was coming back as if it had been only yesterday.

And normally, everything was perfectly okay as they moved together.

Normally.

Everything had been going smoothly until the sharp movement of their hands to his hips, Marilyn moving closer that he believed was possible as her hips swayed to music. Usually... this didn't bother him, he was used to the witch being close to him. But now...

The Quidditch star was given the respite of the move as he span her out, the sharpness in which she came back in Jake's mind was great. The next hold, one that resembled a slight domination that Jake hadn't been aware that he liked so much. Senses being overloaded was not even close to what Jake was experiencing right now.

The latter... of this new move, however, Jake became highly aware of how his body had reacted. Eyes widening with mild panic, that...

The thought didn't finish as Jake took a half pace backward, not wanting to be touching Mari at that moment. This was not okay, not okay at all...

Marilyn thought that she was dying. This was surely what a heart attack felt like. The witch felt hot all over, like she was on fire and when he pulled her close...the two were just too close. Way too close. 'And not close enough...' a thought that really terrified her. Mari, however, ever the professional, was doing her best to simply dance, it was just way too hard- err, perhaps not the best word- difficult, it was difficult to focus.
And then he had her hands in a, for her, submissive position and a scene flashed before her eyes with a similar position in it and her mouth fell open with a silently mouthed 'f*ck'. The witch was incredibly grateful that he couldn't see her face. But the move felt off, he was too far away to continue. And unfortunately the teacher noticed, running up to them with a quick, "No, no, no, like This!" then proceeding to push Marilyn back flush against Jake without much warning. The witch closed her eyes briefly, to compose herself. Then turning around after dropping his hands as the teacher requested they start again.
Mari was looking anywhere else as she took up position again.

"No, no, no, like This!"

As they were pushed together, Jake knew then that this game was lost. His body had betrayed him in a manner that he wasn't comfortable with. For the first time in his life, Jake wished that he did not have a girl dancing with him in such a provocative manner. But, it was much too late for that.

Resetting for the opening moves, Jake took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he avoided the witch's eyes like his life depended on it. Once more they waited for the right moment before they moved in to the first steps, the comfortable steps.

But as Jake pulled the witch close once more, their hips moving in perfect time, Jake could feel the prominent difference from all the other times they'd danced. And it was pressing right between them. Marilyn's movements did nothing to help him either as the Quidditch star bit his lip, refusing to look down in that moment.

Spinning the witch once more before pulling her back to him, Jake didn't take a step away from the witch this time, instead following the move and looking down ever so slightly to watch as the witch rolled her hips against him. There was no denying that both of them would know by now, and it took all of Jake's control not to whimper with how uncomfortable he was right now.

Could you excuse yourself from these situations? Jake wasn't sure... But for now he would just keep ignoring what was happening and hope to anyone who would listen that Marilyn could somehow believe it was anything but what was happening between them right now.

This was possibly the most uncomfortable Marilyn had been since...possibly ever. The witch restarted the dance at Jake's cue and pushed up against him again and nearly groaned, biting it back so hard she thought her lips would definitly be swollen from it, which was definitly not helping her wild imagination from not picturing scenarios in which her lips would be swollen for other reasons. Focus, damnit, Foc- oh. Mari's eyes widened as she felt something that had certainly not been where it was before and when she realised what it was she nearly went weak in the knees and it was all she could do not to groan in frustration, instead opting to bit her lips again, eyes staying straight ahead, as long as it was anywhere else as he turned her and he could feel his breath in her neck and oh merlin, now that was just not fair.
"Te odio tanto ahora." she muttered quietly to herself, unsure of whom she meant by that, as images of that position flashed across her inner eye, with Jake whispering into her ear...

As they managed the step on the second turn, with Jake trying his absolute hardest not to think about the elephant in the room, the Quidditch star turned Mari back to him. Jake noted the witch's slightly swollen lips, and as the hold resumed it didn't help the wizard in the slightest. He knew activities that could do that to you, and the harder he tried to push those thoughts the more vivid they became.

Drawing the witch close to him once more, the dance resumed, Jake's right leg situated between Marilyn's as he guided her around the dance floor. There would be no hole in the world big enough to swallow him up right now, Jake was certain of it.

Marilyn was going to be highly offended, another thing he was sure of.

Merlin he'd made a mess, how could he have made such a mess of a friendship that had come so naturally? Jake was in a mess, a complete mess, and no matter how hard he tried to clear his mind. A cold shower was not going to come quick enough, he realised, casting a glance at the clock that told him he still had another forty-five minutes of torture.

If that clock didn't go by faster Marilyn was going to die. With Jake's leg flush between her thighs she was certain she must look a sight. Flushed face, slightly swollen lips. The witch wondered what she could have done to deserve this kind of torture and how she could have possibly let herself get in so deep that she'd passed the point of no return. Their friendship was so unbelievably special to her and she'd connected with Jake with an ease she had never before experienced in a friendship. And now she had gone and developed...emotions. And urges. And none of it was very welcome.
All of this coupled with the fact that she was for all intents and purposes basically flush up against a certain situation was making her swear to every faith in the world that she'd do anything to stop the awkward situation she was in.
The hour went by so long...But did eventually pass and when the instuctor clapped her hands to signal the end Marilyn dropped Jake's hand like a hot iron. But that didn't help that by then her cheeks were pink, her pupils dilated and her lips were still red from biting, not to mention that she was forcing herself to not walk stiffly from the warmth she felt in her stomach.
This was going to be a very awkward walk home.

Things could get worse, it seemed. Mari's cheeks had been slowly heating up as they moved, as much as Jake didn't want to look at her, it was kind of part of the dance, as their teacher so enjoyed telling him. Which meant she had surely noticed and for the life of him Jake wished they could just leave now.

But after a whole hour of tension - because normally they could talk, laugh off mistakes and enjoy themselves - the lesson was called to an end. Jake wasn't even surprised that Mari pulled away from him the instant their teacher clapped. He had to ignore how that hurt as they stood and listened to the witch briefly before they were dismissed for the evening.

Not for the first time, things got worse as they stepped out in to the night air to be met with a very, very awkward silence. Tucking his hands in his pockets, but most definitely not making it hard for Marilyn to take his arm if she wished, Jake was glad that at least now his body was beginning to relax. Marginally. The main problem was going though, thank Merlin.

"I'm... sorry." Jake managed as they rounded the corner. Deciding to break the ice, to make sure that Mari knew he didn't in anyway want anything from her. "I'll drop you home and go. I... promised to help Vic with something." He improvised, it wasn't a total lie, Victoria always wanted him to play with her since she'd come home from school. That and it would save them any awkward talks that would much better be avoided right now.
