Seeing as Azalea was still at work, and Jake had been uncomfortable sitting in the flat on his own, the Quidditch star had left the house for a run. In the remaining slush it likely wasn't the best idea, but the young man needed to simply get away from the world a little but longer.
After an hour's run, Jake turned back in to the road of his flat, only to hear his name permeating through the air. Despite his mental state, Jake's lips twitched up in to a smile at the sight of the boy he'd spent many years with at Salem. "Hey Mikey!" Jake called out, using the nickname playfully.
The door on his problems slammed shut, making room for one of his closest friends.
"What are you doing here?" Jake asked, looking at the boy before punching in the keycode. "Come on in, it's nippy." He added a moment later, probably a laughable idea with his t-shirt and short outfit. After showing his friend in, Jake headed up the stairs before unlocking the door. "Head in to the kitchen, first on the left." Jake told Michael, slipping his shoes off so that Azalea wouldn't moan about slush being trodden in to the carpets.
