| Azalea had battled with the idea of a joined class for a week now, considering the size of both classes and the popularity of the subject which continued to pleasantly surprise her. But if the last lesson among upperclassmen especially had driven home something, it was the need to impress upon the students the importance of teamwork. So with that in mind, the girl had written to Miss Teagan to ask permission for this very special lesson. The Headmistress had gone over it carefully before granting it. Next, Azalea had put up a notice on the board at her usual greenhouse informing the students that in lieu of lessons that week, they were to congregate by the edge of the Night Forest at the given time.
Azalea arrived at the site fifteen minutes before the students were due, early enough to beat even the earliest bird should there be any, a small sack in one hand and two dozen different colored roses arranged in a bouquet in her other hand. The brunette figured the kids would appreciate roses more given the flower's popularity in both muggle and wizarding literature. Azalea personally had no fondness for the species but then again, she didn't for most flowers.
Vines were Azalea's drug of choice. The witch closed her eyes, placing the sack on the ground and sinking the roots into the hard, frozen earth. It had snowed the night before giving the world a white, sterile edge. The earth was cracked in places and the January wind bore the chill of winter still. Trees rose their skeletal limbs to a bleak grey sky, making for an intimidating sight.
When the witch was done setting up the clues and making sure everything was in place, she stood to one side, the roses held carefully in her arms, awaiting her students clad in black jeans and a matching black, long sleeved turtleneck that hugged her figure warmly and protected her from the breeze that played with her fine brown hair.

| The notice that denoted a class with all years together had made Victoria smile, this meant all of her friends would be together in one place. Though, of course, the Wormwood would never think of disrupting a class, it was nice to work across years. Skipping down the snow covered lawn, her cloak pulled tightly around her and pink mittens in place, Victoria's smile couldn't falter no matter what the weather threw at her.
Time for another snowman later, Victoria mused to herself as she moved towards the Night Forest.
As usual, Victoria was first, finding Azalea with a bouquet of roses. The image before her was amusing to say the least, Azalea looked ready to get married with such an elaborate bouquet. "Morning, Azalea!" Victoria chimed happily, moving towards the professor and taking a gentle sniff of the flowers before her face lit up. "They're beautiful! From Jake?" Victoria asked, not overly sure if her brother would do such a thing. |

| It came as no surprise when Victoria was the first to class, as always. The older witch greeted her with a soft smile and a good morning in return, watching the Wormwood skip to a place near to herself. When she gestured to the flowers, Azalea couldn't help but smile back.
"They're beautiful! From Jake?"
"Not quite," Azalea replied, reaching to extract a bright pink one from the bouquet. "They're for you," she added, handing the pink rose to the young witch. "Well, you and all your classmates. This is how we'll pick teams for today," she explained.

| Mary was pleasantly surprised by a coat of snow covering the grounds when she woke up that morning. Even though it was cold, she thoroughly enjoyed her morning run. Everything seemed so peaceful and the smell of snow filled her up with happiness. As she was running, the memory of breaking down in front of Jake the other day flashed before her eyes and she felt embarrassed again. However, the beauty of jogging amongst fresh fallen snow in the early hours of the morning, was that every bad thought seemed to just disappear.
By the time she arrived in the Forrest, where their Herbology lesson would be held, Mary felt calm and happy. She also found it easier to ignore that incessant voice in the back of her mind that was telling her she wasn't good enough. The witch wrapped her Wormwood-colored scarf tighter around her neck and smiled happily at Victoria and Azalea, who were there already.
"Morning!" | |

| Being a true Southern buy there were very few things that baffled Carson quite like snow did. Even after five years of being at Salem every time it snowed the boy lost about all his wits. It was safe to say he was not a fan of the fluffy white powder, mainly because it was cold and between having grown up in a desert and then moving to a cattle ranch in South Texas...well Carson wasn't used to the cold. Through some miraculous show of responsibility, he managed to get himself out of bed at ass thirty in the morning to go to a class being held down by the forest.
Normally Herbology was not his cup of tea, but when he'd heard that the lesson would be taking place in the Night forest he gladly decided to go. There were all sorts of cool things to be found out there. Even if he did have to spend at least a portion of the lesson learning about boring plants or whatever.
Making his way to the meeting place his eyes immediately fell on Victoria. like a predator stalking its prey he licked his lips a little before approaching the small gathering of women. "Well aren't I a lucky to be to be surrounded by three beautiful women this early in the morning." He gazed at Azalea and then at the older girl he didn't before his eyes fell on Victoria to whom he gave a slight bow. "A special good morning to you little miss."

| Brayden began walking to the Night forest after he found out that, that was where Herbology was being held at. He didn't know what to think because he didn't know that Professors could classes outside their classroom but apparently they could. The Belladonna finally reached the site and saw that a few students have arrived and he was glad he wasn't the first person who had. "Hello Azalea" he sent a greeting to the Professor of Herbology. Azalea was a good Professor so it didn't bother him or stop him from continuing on with the class. | |

| Charlie walked towards The Night Forest, she wasn't shocked that the class was outside, she had, had a class outside for Herbology every once and a while. The red head didn't know what was going to be taught but she guessed she'd find out when she got there. The Wormwood girl arrived where the rest of the class was and had to admit that Herbology was one of the classes that always got a lot of students, along with others. "Hey Aza, hope you're doing well today" Charlie said politely. | |

| Diem was excited for Herbology, so when she heard about the lesson being in the Night Forest she got more excited then she was before. She loved having the lessons outside because that just meant that something good was going to happen and that is what she liked. The brunette reached the site and looked around, there was a lot of familiar faces around and she was excited for what she was about to learn that day. "Hey Azalea" Diem smiled and waved to the Professor. | |

| The chill in the air indicated that her favourite season was here, and the white powdery substance that covered the ground showed that it had no plans of leaving. Janique had always enjoyed the cold that only winter could bring, and she made her way to the edge of the forest, her hair untied and long.
There were only a handful of students at the site, and she didn't bother acknowledging any of them as she moved to the front. "Morning, Azalea," she greeted, eyeing the roses with a slight frown. Flowers was not something she particularly liked, and roses were the worst amongst them all. "What are we doing today? We're not learning about muggle flowers, I hope," she added, motioning to the bouquet. |

| Michelle did walk towards the Night Forest, she wasn't really talen back or shocked when she heard where next lesson was held. She just didn't mind it and also there is once for awhile herbology lessons outside. She son reached where others were. She did stand there and looked around. "Hello," she said also too and wondered what they will do today. | |

| As more students congregated to the edge of the Night Forest, Azalea greeted them all warmly to compensate for the chilly day. It had only recently occurred to the witch that the world worked on compromise and sacrifice, and that was something she understood at least, even if everything else was in incomprehensible blur.
"Hi Mary," the nightshade greeted, walking to the Head Girl and handing her a red rose. "Feel free to wear it in your hair or uniform," she said cheerily before moving on to Brayden and handing him a red rose too. "Here you go Brayden, glad to see you in class again," she spoke to the young Belladonna.
Charlie was the next one in and was greeted by Azalea with a bright yellow rose. "Good Morning, Charlie, here's your rose," Azalea called out before moving to Carson, her distant cousin to have her dad say it and greeted him kindly too. "Keeping out of trouble I hope," she ventured with a playful smile as she gave him a yellow rose as well.
Next to arrive were Janique and Diem, each of whom were given a pink rose apiece. "Good morning ladies," Azalea spoke, walking through all the students. "Nice to see you looking so fresh early in the morning."
As Michelle approached the clearing, Azalea sent the wormwood a smile along with a yellow rose too. "Hi Michelle, look for the others with yellow roses, they're your teammates," she explained with a grin.

| Jaden was running to class. Because she knew that she was late and being late was never a good thing. She knew that Azalea wouldn't take point away from her own house. But she didn't want to push her lucky. When she walked into the greenhouse she seen that Brayden was already there. But she wasn't going to sweat it; because it didn't look like they really started. " Sorry for being late Aza, I was visiting Sadie in the hospital wing." | |

| Aphrodite had heard that the class wasn't in the normal setting in the Herbology Greenhouses and made her way towards the Night Forest. She was a little confused on why they were supposed to be there but she decided to let it go because it didn't matter. The blonde walked and eventually so the class and was grateful for that. Aphrodite saw Azalea with roses and wondered why she had them. "Hey Azalea" she greeted kindly. | |

| He had no idea how true it was but he had heard rumors of there being a Treasure Hunt for this class. He wasn't good at finding items in particular but more people. It sounded odd yes but it made complete and utter sense. The Nightshade had arrived at his destination and was a little upset that neither of his siblings wanted to be escorted to class by him. Ares flat right didn't answer so he took that as a no and Aphrodite just said that she'd rather walk. When the blonde male looked to see his sister was there and perfectly okay, he was fine. He went and stood by her. | |

| Ares walked towards the Night Forest for Herbology class. He was actually pretty excited how they were going to be having their class outside instead of inside like they normally do. When Ares got closer to where they were supposed to meet up he wasn't surprised to see both his sister and brother there already, he had gotten an owl from Apollo asking to walk him to the class but of course he didn't answer him. He didn't want to talk to Apollo right now or ever, either was good for him. Ares took a spot away from his siblings, he wasn't mad at Aphrodite but she was standing with Apollo so he needed to stay clear. | |

| Now, Isabelle liked to consider herself a fairly positive kind of person, but where snow was involved she permitted herself the softest of sighs. It was so slippery, she found, and every few steps she was sliding all over the place. Such didn't help as she made her way towards the meeting point for Herbology, having to take steps much slower than she would have liked to try and get to where she needed to be.
The thought of being anything but punctual was terrifying for the Wormwood, so she risked a gentle jog every few steps to try and pick her pace back up a little. It never worked in her favour, and each time she found herself mumbling "darn it" and other such innocent vulgarities that she daren't say at home, or in any other situation when she thought about it. The witch was determined, though, and the satisfying sound of snow crunching beneath her shoes was enough to motivate her to keep moving through the winter winds.
"Sorry Miss Azalea," the young girl said when she finally got to the edge of the forest. "I hope I'm not late." She noticed the flowers in everyone's hands, which she assumed had something to do with the treasure hunt they would be having, and stepped back away from the older witch, awaiting further instruction.

| Henley didn't see what the point was of combining the classes and coming out into the Night Forest. Like if you wanted to combine all the classes into one why not just do it in the Herbology room? Henley really hated these classes and could barely tolerate them but she managed because the faster she did the lessons and participated when needed to the faster her ass was out of Salem. When Henley got there she just ignored everyone and waited. | |

| As Jaden nearly ran to the clearing, mentioning something about helping Sadie in the hospital wing, Azalea smiled at the girl. "Its okay sweetie, you're not late," she assured the young witch, handing her a red rose. "Run along to your teammates," she advised, moving to greet Aphrodite with a smile.
"Hi Aphrodite, here's a nice blue rose for you," Azalea grinned, handing the witch the rose before moving on to the next person, her own two brothers. "And for be it for me to separate siblings. Blue roses for you guys too," she said to Apollo and Ares in turn.
The next student in was little Isabelle who didn't look as though she liked the snow and cold very much. Smiling kindly at her, the Herbologist took a bright yellow rose from her bouquet and tucked it behind Isabelle's ear. "There you go, now anyone with yellow roses on their person is your team," she told the girl.
Approaching Henley, the Nightshade Head waved to the young brunette and handed her a red rose. "Here you go Henley, you may join your team," she said as cheerily as she could manage.

| Callum was running late, and he hated running late. He had forgotten that the class was being held in the forest, and not the usual place. It was completely freezing, and Callum hated the cold, the wind from his running biting harshly at his cheeks was strangely refreshing. He reached the group and slid to a halt, panting and trying to regain his composure "Sorry for my tardiness, Professor," he said breathlessly. | |

| "Thanks Azalea," Mary said, taking the red rose and pinning it on her coat next to her badge. She looked around to see who else got the same rose as her and when Azalea was finished giving them out, the witch smiled. She moved towards Brayden, Jaden and Henley, hoping they could work well together.
She had already worked with Brayden in Flying lessons last year, but she didn't know Jaden or Henley as well as she would have wanted to. "Morning, guys." Mary smiled at them all and then waited for further instructions.

| As she was handed the pink rose, a frown appeared on her face, but she accepted it nevertheless. Of course it just had to be pink, and she sighed as she tucked it into her pocket. She gave a nod towards the girl next to her. "It looks like we'll be a team, then," she said, glancing around to see who else had the same coloured flower, immediately noting that that person was Victoria.
Moving towards her, she didn't bother to see if Diem was following her. "Hey Vic," she said, forcing a smile. As much as the Wormwood annoyed her, Jani knew that she was a hard worker, and if they were going to have to work in teams, she would be a valuable asset. |

| Alright so he was late, so what. In his defense, the class had been shifted. No one had to know he had found that out four days ago from some excited little Wormwoods chattering away where any slinking shadow could hear them.
Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, Jackson made his way to the clearing where pretty much everyone was already gathered, and discovered that he had apparently missed rose day going by Miss Azalea's free distribution of the flower.
Oh well, getting a flower from a pretty lady was never a bad thing, and if the lesson was about roses, Jackson could just nod off in the back. How much could there be about roses to learn?

| It was really easy to spot exactly where the Herbology class was going to start; all of the students were gathered around like cows sheltering from the rain. The cold wind and the light coat of snow didn't really bother Gillian, and as soon as she was out of the castle's doors, she started running towards the other students praying that it wasn't too late.
She arrived at the same time as another student and looked around before bending and resting her hands on her knees so she could breathe deeply. Her hair was a mess, but it didn't matter much to her, she simply wrapped the scarf that she was holding in her hand during the frantic run, and stood quietly wondering what was it with all the roses.

| Arsen sighed as he finished his meditating session before class and quickly made his way over ignoring the fact that his eyes were an amber color. As long as they were not bright red he was fine with it. Finding the class he quickly slipped in trying not to draw attention to himself.
He wondered what was going on and if it was worth his time. Though he knew that this place was the only place he was truly safe from the guy who forced him to call him his master.

| As Azalea passed her a pink rose, Victoria's smile blossomed more, accepting it with a soft thank you before placing it neatly in her hair. She liked this idea of picking teams, it made it much more fun! Seeing Mary coming closer, Victoria gave her a small wave, waiting quietly for others to turn up.
"A special good morning to you little miss."
"Good morning, Carson." Victoria replied, her smile growing as he bowed to her, making her feel special in that moment. Perhaps even a slight hint of pink touched her cheeks, though she couldn't register it for herself.
Victoria greeted each person who came to the clearing, with either a soft hello or a small wave, noting each colour that got given to them. Diem and Janique got pink flowers just as Isabelle arrived. "Morning Isabelle!" Victoria greeted the younger Wormwood, she was a nice witch, and they had a lot in common.
"Hey Vic,"
"Hi Janique!" Victoria replied, smiling warmly towards her friend. "Ready to win the hunt?" She asked, smiling to herself, Victoria wasn't overly competitive, but she did like to please the professors as much as possible. |
